
Chef Jean Sulpice of the two-star restaurant Jean Sulpice in the French ski resort village of Val Thorens will be visiting Japan. On October 3rd, he will be holding a collaborative event with his friend, executive chef Guillaume Bracaval, at Cuisine[s] Michel Le Troisgros, a French restaurant on the first floor of the Hyatt Regency Tokyo. Jean Sulpice is a talented chef and a member of Relais & Châteaux, an association of 530 hotel and restaurant owners in over 60 countries worldwide, known for its consistently high standards of quality. At the age of 16, he decided to become a chef, working as the right-hand man to chef Marc Veyra at a three-star restaurant in his hometown of Savoie. After gaining experience under other top chefs, at the age of 22, he opened Restaurant Jean Sulpice in the French ski resort village of Val Thorens, 2,300 meters above sea level. He earned two stars at the age of 31.
