Pumpkin lanterns lit up on the beach, "Halloween in the sand and sea on a southern island" at Hoshino Resorts

Sep 29, 2015

Hoshino Resorts RISONARE Kohamajima in Okinawa will be holding a limited-time event from October 1st to 31st, allowing guests to enjoy a tropical Halloween experience.

This time, "Sand and Sea Halloween" will be held at Il Mare Beach and Gajumaru Square. Entering through the Gajumaru Square gate at night, guests will find themselves in a fantastical space enveloped in the light of lanterns. Various sea creatures shining inside pumpkins create the atmosphere of an underwater Halloween party.

Furthermore, after passing through a tunnel of banyan trees, guests will be greeted by sand art of whales, dolphins, and starfish dressed in subtle costumes on the beautiful white sand beach. As you continue on, admiring the marine life gracefully swimming through the illuminated aquarium, a starry sky will unfold above.

Other activities include crafting jack-o'-lanterns using Okinawan vegetables, and a limited-time Halloween buffet dinner featuring pumpkins and other autumn ingredients, served alongside the hospitality of costumed hotel staff. There will also be a "Halloween Photo Contest" where people can submit photos they have taken of Halloween beaches, Halloween photo spots, etc.
