
"Takashi Murakami's Flower Cafe," in conjunction with the "Takashi Murakami: The 500 Arhats" exhibition currently being held at the Mori Art Museum, will open at Hills Cafe/Space in Roppongi Hills from December 28th. The cafe's floors and walls will be covered in Murakami's signature flowers, and balloons of "Rokuroku Alien," an original character created by Murakami specifically for Roppongi Hills, will float through the air. Special collaboration menu items include the "Flower Omelette Rice" (1,200 yen), limited to 20 servings, the "Flower Burger" (1,250 yen), a cheeseburger branded with a flower design, the "Flower Mousse" (700 yen), limited to 20 servings, the "Flower Roll" (700 yen), and the "Flower Latte" (650 yen), all of which are limited to 50 servings. The store will also be selling a "Rainbow Flower Cushion (1m)" (62,370 yen), as well as stuffed toys of "66 Alien Boss" and "66 Alien Pee-chan."
Roppongi Hills is currently hosting "Takashi Murakami's 500 Arhats," Murakami's first solo exhibition in Japan in 14 years, and from January 1st, A/D Gallery will be hosting "Takashi Murakami's OHANA-OHANA-OHANA," where large flower balls, sofas, and other items will be on display and for sale. "Flowers" are also scheduled to be used in the creative for Roppongi Hills' WINTER SALE 2016, and the entire town will be dominated by Murakami during this period.
