On the 9th, Gucci, located on the third floor of the International Designers' Floor in the Men's Building at Isetan Shinjuku, reopened as a new store showcasing the new Gucci brand vision under Creative Director Alessandro Michele. This redesign incorporates the collections of Alessandro Michele, who took over as Creative Director earlier this year. This is the second Gucci store worldwide to adopt the new concept, following the Milan Montenapoleone store, which was remodeled in September. While some fixtures have been updated with the new concept in the leather goods section on the first floor of the building in Japan, this is the first full-scale redesign in Japan. This redesigned store will be the first in Japan to promote the new Gucci image to fashion-conscious young customers. The leather goods section of the Ginza Mitsukoshi store will be renovated in late December, followed by the women's section next year. The store's renovation has completely revamped its image. Customers can now enjoy shopping in a modern, relaxed atmosphere that highlights Alessandro Michele's vision and collections. Everything has been changed, from the logo signage to the fixtures, sofas, hangers, mirrors, cashiering tools, and even the uniforms of the sales staff. The previous luxurious feel of gold frames and dark brown wood has been replaced with a silver base with pale gray accents. The drawers now have a trunk-inspired design, creating a cool, fashionable look that highlights the colorful collections and merchandise. Another distinctive feature is the placement of eyelet-like studs in various locations throughout the store, including on tables. In a new initiative, the glass on some of the fixtures has been removed, allowing customers to touch the products directly. Also, in conjunction with the renovation, the store is now offering custom-made suits and shoes, a service normally only available at its street-level stores, for a limited time until December 20th. Customers can choose the material, color, and lining for jackets, pants, shirts, and coats, as well as the material and color of shoes. To coincide with the renewal and Christmas, Gucci chocolates will be available in stores until the 26th.
