Bags you'll want to replace this spring. New arrivals from Anteprima, Genten, and Jerome Dreyfuss now available at Shinjuku Isetan

Dec 31, 2015

As we welcome the new year with a fresh feeling, we often feel the need to refresh our belongings all at once, including our everyday bags. The bag section on the first floor of the Isetan Shinjuku Main Building is offering a number of promotions to help you find your perfect item. We'd like to introduce the details so you can find your perfect item. Genten kicks off the New Year with a "Master of Craftsmanship" themed promotion titled "Meets the TAKUMI" from January 3rd to 12th. Yuzen engraver Takeshi Nishimura, the first "Master of the Future" certified by Kyoto City, will be on hand to demonstrate engraving designs on the brand's iconic "Toscatre" bag. Available in three colors—natural beige, brown, and navy—there are 10 patterns available, including hemp leaf, Seigaiha, and bellflower. The delicate world of Kyoto yuzen is brought to life with just a single sword. In addition, the 10 days will be packed with New Year's-only specials, including the sale of smartphone cases and the opportunity to order custom-made wallets in colors exclusive to Isetan Shinjuku.
The week from the 13th to the 19th will focus on ANTEPRIMA's wirebag collection. The "Fioritura" series, adorned with delicate fiori (flowers), will take center stage, and new 16SS items will also be introduced.
From the 20th to the 26th, a promotion will be held for JEROME DREYFUSS, where you'll likely be among the first to discover spring's it bags. The brand, which combines esprit with functional beauty, will offer boho-chic bags based on the theme of "effortless chic," combining bohemian tastes with the trendy New York spot of SOHO. Designer Jérôme Dreyfus is the husband of Isabel Marant, and the brand's unique appeal is evident in the fact that each series bears a male name and every bag comes with a penlight. During the event, penlight cases will be distributed as a special giveaway to purchasers of the brand's bags. From the 27th to February 2nd, the "MADE in ITALY for AMMIMAJUS" exhibition will bring together bags jointly developed by up-and-coming Italian brands, including Viale Repubblica, Alchimia, and Elisabeth Yang, and Mitsukoshi Isetan's original brand, AMMIMAJUS. Buyers travel overseas to personally select limited-edition items, carefully crafted with a focus on Japanese sizing, ease of use, and seasonal colors. With a plethora of promotional events, you're sure to find the bag that'll brighten up your new year. Once the three days of New Year's are over, why not go out shopping while you're still in the New Year's mood?
