The "Daikanyama BOOK DESIGN Exhibition 2016," showcasing books with outstanding book design, will be held from June 18 to July 8 in the gallery space on the first floor of Daikanyama T-Site Building No. 2.

The "Daikanyama BOOK DESIGN Exhibition" focuses on the unique appeal of physical, paper books—such as striking bindings, beautiful layouts of text and photos, stunning printing quality, and original bindings that highlight unique ideas—and showcases books with outstanding book design. This third exhibition will feature 30 books with outstanding book design, selected by Daikanyama T-Site concierges Yohei Mishino and Harumi Shimizu from Japan and abroad published in 2015, based on the perspectives of printing, layout, binding, and bookbinding. A limited edition original catalog containing detailed data and comments will also be available for purchase.

In addition, as a satellite event, the "Selectors' Choice of Best Books of 2015" exhibition will be held. Five people working in the book industry - book designer Irma Boehm, distributor Ochi Yumiko, printing director Kumakura Keizo, POST representative and publisher Nakajima Yusuke, and editor Nomura Kunichi - will select the best books of 2015 from their own perspectives.
