On March 19th, a gallery showcasing various art cultures, "QUIET NOISE arts and break" (1F, 2-45-2 Daizawa, Setagaya-ku, Tokyo), will open along the train tracks near Ikenoue Station in Setagaya Ward, Tokyo, where silence and hustle and bustle intersect.
The gallery's chief curator is Mai Hidekuma, art concierge at Daikanyama T-Site Books. Working with Ryusuke Inoue, owner and director of CANDLE CAFE △II, a cafe bar and gallery in Shimokitazawa, Tokyo, the gallery will curate elaborate, cutting-edge art exhibitions. The gallery will also have a permanent coffee stand. Visitors can enjoy art while sipping coffee made with beans roasted by OBSCURA COFFEE ROASTERS in Sangenjaya, Tokyo, and Cocktail Do in Nirasaki, Yamanashi Prefecture.
As the first special exhibition since the opening, a solo exhibition "A Dream of Ashes" by ink painter Kashiwara Shinpei will be held from March 19th to April 17th. Kashiwara Shinpei is active in many fields, including creating the sliding screen paintings for Kyoto's Honnoji Temple and illustrating Saotome Taichi's "Shadow Play" performance, and this is an opportunity to enjoy all of his latest works in one place.
