© CartierRichemont Japan Co., Ltd. Cartier will be holding a special high jewelry event, an order-taking event, in Kyoto in April. The event will feature a number of unique, one-of-a-kind pieces, including new releases from the high jewelry collection "Sigième Sens Par Cartier." Enjoy approximately 400 pieces of jewelry and watches, showcasing the unique, exceptional techniques and boundless creativity that Cartier has cultivated since its founding.
There is no better location than Kyoto to host Japan's first high jewelry event in several years. Cartier continues to cherish and uphold the values of inherited traditions and precious culture, beauty supported by savoir-faire (artisanal skill), and a pioneering spirit that never rests on the status quo and always pursues innovation. Since holding the "Cartier Jewelry Design Captured by the Eyes of Ettore Sottsass" exhibition at the Daigoji Treasure Museum in 2004, Cartier has cultivated a relationship with Kyoto, a city of historic culture, art, and manufacturing, that goes beyond business, with events such as a high jewelry event at the Kyoto National Museum in 2015 and a gala dinner at Toji Temple in 2017. With the cooperation of the Kyoto City Kyocera Museum of Art, we are once again hosting a high jewelry event in Kyoto. Kyoto, a historic capital that now attracts people from all over the world as a place of unique value, and Cartier, the Parisian jeweler, are sure to forge a new and developing relationship from this stimulating encounter.

Since the days when it flourished as the imperial capital, Kyoto has been a city where people have come and gone and where a diverse range of cultures has been born. Hidden within Kyoto is something that can only be sensed with a refined sixth sense (sixth sense). Cartier high jewelry has the power to convey energy welling up from deep within the earth and to make the wearer shine. You can look forward to a dialogue of sensibilities that transcends logic and a resonance of beauty that transcends cultures." (Jun Miyaji, President and CEO of Cartier Japan)

Since then, while inheriting the history and traditions of advanced craftsmanship that had been built up by the Edo period, Kyoto has also pursued new beauty that lives in the modern era, particularly through exchanges with France. The coexistence of authenticity and innovation is the spirit that runs through Cartier, which was born in France, and I am delighted that 'SIGIEM SENS PAL CARTIER' will be held at our museum, which has renovated and renovated its 80-year-old building with the same spirit."
