Aman Discovery Set introduces travel-sized scents from seven resorts

Mar 22, 2022
Aman Tokyo (Otemachi, Tokyo) has begun selling the "Discovery Set (33,000 yen/tax included)" at the "Aman Spa" on the 34th floor, which allows you to enjoy all seven fragrances from the "Aman Fine Fragrance Collection," created in the image of iconic Aman hotels around the world, in 7.5ml travel sizes. Including "HARU," the scent themed on Aman Tokyo's spring season, the fragrance set can be used to suit your mood of the day, making it a perfect companion for your daily commute or a recommended gift for yourself or a loved one.

The Aman Fine Fragrance Collection, launched in December 2020, is inspired by the diverse natural environments surrounding Aman hotels around the world and is inspired by iconic resorts. Created by renowned perfumer Jacques Chabert, the collection features gender-neutral scents that evoke memories of Aman and offer a "journey of the senses." The new scent, HARU, launched last year, is inspired by Aman Tokyo. Named after the Japanese season of "spring," when cherry blossoms are in full bloom, its delicate floral layers, crisp apricot and green tea accents, and smooth musk evoke a fresh, vibrant, and gentle spring breeze.

The Discovery Set also includes scents inspired by seven other resorts, including Amanpuri, Aman's first and iconic resort in Phuket; Aman New York, due to open this year; and Aman Venice, set in a beautiful ancient waterfront city.

VAYU - Amanpuri, Thailand
Evoking images of lapping waves, sweet floral scents and fresh citrus, Vayu means "wind" in Sanskrit and captures the jasmine, tuberose, sandalwood and coconut that bloom in abundance at Amanpuri.

AYOM - Amanjiwo, Indonesia
Deep, dramatic, complex and filled with hidden energy, this fragrance is reminiscent of jungle flowers. Meaning "hideaway" in Indonesia, AYOM is characterized by woody notes of cardamom, cedarwood and ginger, evoking warm, familial memories of a faraway land.

UMBR - Aman Venice, Italy
The ancient splendor of Venice is captured in layered fragrances, blending the depth of oak and leather with spice. Evoking the magnificent 16th-century palazzos of Aman Venice, Umbr, Latin for "shadow," is a fragrance that veils the history of Venice.

ZUAC - Amanjena, Morocco
Warm ochre blends with spices like clove, patchouli, and saffron to create a fragrance inspired by the colors of the Red City and the ancient Medina. Born from the Berber word meaning "mixed colors," ZUAC is rooted in Marrakech's Moorish architecture and the warm desert landscape that surrounds it.

ALTA - Aman New York, USA
Featuring juniper berry, geranium, and cypriol, the scent evokes a city brimming with adventure and energy, driven by the power of its skyscrapers. Alta, Latin for "high," draws inspiration from New York's architectural history and imposing cityscape.

SEI - Amangiri, USA
Nestled in the vast plains of Utah, Amangiri is a tranquil haven. Evoking the tranquil twilight of the desert, SEI's scent emanates top notes of pine needle and juniper, then evolves into dried sage and lavender. It speaks to the spirit of Amangiri, a sacred desert site, and the rhythm of rebirth and renewal passed down for millennia in the Utah desert.

HARU - Aman Tokyo
Aman Tokyo's expansive windows offer a panoramic view of Tokyo, blending urban and natural beauty. HARU's scent evokes the gentle breeze and the cityscape of cherry blossoms and other flowers in full bloom. Layers of delicate florals, refreshing apricot and green tea, combined with the warmth of a slightly smoky mate tea, create a harmonious blend of Japanese tradition and the environment.

The Discovery Set will instantly transport you to the world of Aman and lead you to new discoveries, no matter where you are or when. Be sure to give it as a gift to yourself or a loved one.
