Magnolia Bakery will be releasing its Valentine's Day collection from January 24th to February 14th. Magnolia Bakery, known for its cupcakes, specializes in classic American sweets. For its first Valentine's Day collection in Japan, the bakery will be releasing a total of four limited-edition cupcake varieties. The Valentine's Day Cupcake (480 yen), adorned with cute heart motifs, is a combination of vanilla and chocolate that pairs perfectly with the richness of the buttercream. The Valentine's Day Truffle Cupcake (480 yen) is a chocolate truffle wrapped in rich chocolate dough and coated with chocolate ganache. A handwritten message in white buttercream creates a Valentine's Day atmosphere. Leading up to Valentine's Day, Magnolia Bakery will be participating in events held at three department stores across Japan, each offering limited-edition sweets. Tamagawa Takashimaya's Valentine's Fair will feature the "Chocolate & Strawberry Cupcake" (480 yen), made with a rich strawberry puree flavor and made entirely of chocolate from the dough to the coating. Seibu Ikebukuro Main Store's "CHOCOLATE PARADISE 2015" will offer the rich, flourless "Flowerless Chocolate Cupcake" (480 yen), while Tokyu Toyoko's "SHIBUYA Chocolat Scramble" will offer the lightly sweet "Chocolate Whoopie Cookie" (200 yen), a chocolate wafer cookie. All sweets feature the rich flavor and richness of buttercream, a taste characteristic of Magnolia Bakery. Adding to this, "Cranberry Cheesecake" (980 yen) and "Valentine Pear Pie" (880 yen) will make a total of seven items available as collectible items.
