Björk's new album, "Vulnicura," was released on the iTunes Store on January 21st and is now available for download in Japan. This is her first album in about four years and five months since her previous album, "Biophilia." Originally scheduled for a CD release in March, the album was quickly released via iTunes on the London-based label ONE LITTLE INDIAN RECORDS. The headpiece worn by Björk on the CD jacket is by Japanese designer Maiko Takeda. Takeda studied millinery design at the Royal College of Art in the UK. For her graduation project, she presented a collection of headpieces made from plastic transparencies, titled "Atmospheric Reentry." The dreamy and impactful collection, featuring unpredictable textures, quickly attracted attention, especially in Europe, one of whom was Björk. Björk wore Takeda's work as a stage costume for a 2013 live performance.

Maiko Takeda studied jewelry making at the Department of Jewelry Design at Central Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London. While there, she studied under Stephen Jones and graduated with honors. After holding numerous solo exhibitions as a freelancer, she went on to study at the Royal College of Art in the UK, where she majored in millinery. She is currently in charge of accessory design at ISSEY MIYAKE. In 2014, she was nominated as a finalist for the fashion competition "ITS" held in Italy.
