The exhibition "W__KW__K GATHERING" will be held at Parco Gallery X in Shibuya from February 17th to March 1st.
The exhibition commemorates the launch of a new magazine, "W__K W__K" (priced at 10,000 yen). It was designed by Theseus Chan, editor of the independent magazine "WERK." He has created never-before-seen magazines by tearing, hollowing out, dousing with fluorescent paint, and drilling holes. This sister magazine represents a new challenge for Chan. It features an entire issue dedicated to the magazine, "ANREALAGE."
The exhibition will feature and sell copies of "W__K W__K," each with a different finish. The magazine is made up of seven booklets of different sizes, randomly bound together, resulting in a total of seven different cover designs. The spine is made with a special tube glue, and electronic components are embedded inside.
In addition, the venue will be selling a collaborative T-shirt by Anrealage and Theseus Chan (limited to 18 pieces/28,000 yen) and cloth badges (limited to 100 pieces/3,000 yen). Chan created a collage image based on the brand's shadow pattern, which he printed on T-shirts with the hems folded at various angles. Original prints by photographer Yoshiyuki Okuyama, who was in charge of the magazine's photos, will also be on display and for sale.
