From January 2nd to 6th, 2015, the "Festaria Presents Nicola Formichetti Japan Galaxy 2015" event will be held at The Stage on the first floor of the Isetan Shinjuku Main Building as part of the store's New Year's Festival.
Nicola Formichetti is a fashion designer and director known for directing Lady Gaga's costumes and music videos, and for being the unsung hero who helped propel her to stardom. Currently active as a director for DIESEL and UNIQLO, Formichetti's desire to produce timeless materials such as diamond jewelry led to a collaboration with the jewelry brand Festaria Bijou SOPHIA.
The event will feature special items and lucky bags inspired by Japanese culture. One of the highlights is the collaboration between Nicola and Festaria Bijou SOPHIA's original cut diamond "Wish Upon a Star," which was dedicated to Izumo Taisha Shrine in May. Nicola, who loves stars, was moved by the news of the "Wish Upon a Star" dedication and began the Nicola Collection (necklaces starting at 250,000 yen). The collection embodies his feelings for the stars and the Earth. Also noteworthy is the new character "Zombie Panda," created through a collaboration between Nicola's character "Nico Panda" and "Wish Upon a Star." This luxurious collection will be sold exclusively on stage, including necklaces (starting at 600,000 yen). Furthermore, the picture book "A Gift from the Star," created in collaboration with Nicola's close friend, Momoko Sakura, will be revived as a special stage edition. A loose diamond from "Wish Upon a Star" is embedded in the book, and it will be sold in a Hakata-ori box, limited to 10 copies (priced at 1 million yen).
There will be three types of lucky bags: 925,926 yen, 2,777,778 yen, and 9,259,260 yen (entries for the 9,259,260 yen lucky bag will be accepted on January 2nd and 3rd, with the winners announced on January 4th). The 925,926 yen lucky bag is a masterpiece set that includes a Hakata-ori tote bag with a direct drawing by artist Komatsu Miu, a "Wish upon a star" 1ct loose diamond, and a Nicola model necklace; after purchase, the 1ct loose diamond can also be made into semi-custom jewelry.
The 2,777,778 yen lucky bag (limited to one item) includes luxurious items such as a Hakata-ori tote bag with a direct drawing by Komatsu, a 2ct loose diamond with "Wish upon a star," a semi-custom order voucher, and a Nicola model necklace.
The lucky bag (limited to one item) priced at 9,259,260 yen will include items such as a 3ct "Wish upon a star" loose diamond, a semi-order voucher, a zombie panda ring with pave diamonds, a Hakata-ori tote bag hand-drawn by Komatsu, an order voucher for a hand-painted painting by Komatsu Miu, and a caricature ticket by Sakura Momoko, as well as special gifts.
In addition, as part of an on-stage installation, a one-of-a-kind headpiece made of approximately 800 cubic zirconia stones with a "Wish upon a star" cut by hair and makeup artist Kamo Katsuya will be sold exclusively on stage.
