Discover Tottori in Tokyo: "co-tori 2014" held in Nakameguro

Feb 17, 2014

"co-tori 2014," an event offering a chance to enjoy Tottori Prefecture's handicrafts and cuisine while strolling through Nakameguro, Tokyo, will be held from March 1st to 9th. Bordered by the Sea of Japan to the north and the Chugoku Mountains to the south, Tottori Prefecture boasts abundant nature. Last year's "co-tori" event aimed to allow visitors to experience Tottori's handicrafts and seasonal ingredients through a stroll around the city, and this year's event will be held again with an expanded lineup of participating stores. The main event, "co-tori BAL," will be held on March 4th and 5th from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM. A participation fee of 500 yen begins at the main venue, "SML." Visitors can tour eight stores in the Nakameguro area and enjoy Tottori-produced local sake, craft beer, and wine (one drink free), along with original plates featuring Tottori ingredients. During the event, "SML" will also showcase Tottori's diverse handicrafts, including pottery, steel, fabric, and paper. Additionally, on the 1st, the store will also be holding an opening event, "co-tori Sakaba by minokamo." Chef minokamo (Akiko Nagao) will be serving snacks made with Tottori ingredients along with local Tottori sake. The first 50 people to arrive will receive a complimentary sake cup made by a Tottori pottery maker. The participation fee is 2,000 yen.
