Luxury leather brand Maison Takuya is hosting a color pattern customization event at the Isetan Shinjuku Men's Building's first floor bag promotion from February 15th to 24th. The event will feature three new clutches and one pouch. All are bag-sized, and the lineup includes a large clutch with a strap that can fit a long wallet (starting at ¥82,950), a two-tone clutch combining two colors of leather (starting at ¥102,900, available in two sizes), and a small pouch (starting at ¥34,650). All materials used are natural leathers from European tanneries. These include high-quality alligator leather from a French tannery affiliated with a renowned brand, semi-hammered ostrich leather with beautiful quill marks (marks where feathers have been removed), stingray leather with a polished sheen, shrink calf leather from a German tannery, lizard leather finished with natural wax, and A-grade goatskin leather from France. The store also offers a selection of British-made camouflage-print soft goat leather, a popular item in stores, in approximately 80 colors. In addition to leather goods, the full line includes tote bags and shoulder bags crafted from a single piece of leather, as well as the brand's signature stingray IT line (iPad and iPhone covers). Maison Takuya was founded in 2008 by Francois Russo, a French interior designer and former co-founder of Andree Putman. Headquartered in Singapore, the brand's 100% production is carried out at its own factory in Thailand. All items are hand-sewn and hand-cut, with no nylon or cardboard used, and all leather is used except for essential hardware. The prints are dyed using aniline processing, rather than pigment dye, to maximize the leather's natural pattern. Due to their commitment to quality materials and advanced production techniques, the brand has rapidly gained popularity since its debut, and is currently available in 19 countries around the world.
