MOREAU PARIS, a long-established French fashion house specializing in high-quality leather goods, has made its Japan debut with a pop-up shop on January 29th at the Isetan Shinjuku store's first floor handbag promotion area. The shop will run until February 4th.
The shop sells Made-in-France bags, wallets, and pass cases. The store minimizes the use of metal fittings and offers the finest French leather, carefully tanned, and hand-stitched, creating the high-quality items you'd expect from a long-established fashion house.
The brand's signature tote bag features a cowhide exterior and goat leather interior dyed in the brand's iconic royal blue color. The brand logo is intentionally omitted from the exterior, with only the interior engraved. The brand's signature checkered pattern is inspired by a suitcase woven from willow twigs from the brand's original collection. Part of the checkered pattern features the address of the original shop. Three sizes are available, with the larger size featuring a flap cover to conceal the contents. Prices start from 346,500 yen for a tote bag.
Morow Paris is a trunk manufacturing maison founded in Paris in the mid-19th century, which released collections mainly focusing on luxury leather goods, trunks, and accessories until the early 20th century, after which it went on hiatus for a while. It restarted in 2011 and opened a shop in Paris in October 2012. It is currently available in Paris and at Barneys New York in the United States. Queeno is the import agent in Japan, and full-scale operations are scheduled to begin this fall.
