Madonna, the queen of pop music, has teamed up with Japanese beauty company MTG to launch her new skincare brand, MDNA SKIN. The first products will be released in Japan before anywhere else in the world. Michelle Peck, Madonna's personal skincare artist who has been in charge of her skin for over 10 years, has been appointed as the brand's ambassador and also serves as an advisor on product development. The brand's concept is "mysterious and mystical." The product lineup includes the serum "The Serum" (50ml/25,200 yen), the "Rejuvenator Set" (a set of Skin Rejuvenator and Chrome Clay Mask 50ml/60,900 yen) and the "Chrome Clay Mask" (50ml/12,600 yen, 100ml/22,050 yen), which uses clay masks and beauty devices to condition the skin. The serum is made using a highly-secret recipe originally created by Madonna. The clay is sourced from Montecatini Terme. The highly-adhesive, specially processed clay traps dirt from pores and skin grooves that is difficult to remove with cleansing or washing alone, and the clay is then removed using a beauty device with a magnetic head, promoting skin activation without damaging the skin and synergistically enhancing the effectiveness of cosmetics.
The product will be available at Isetan Shinjuku, Hankyu Umeda Main Store, and JR Nagoya Takashimaya on February 26th, followed by shops at Daimaru Tokyo on March 7th, Osaka Takashimaya and Sogo Kobe on March 8th, and Haneda Airport Terminal 2 on March 30th.
