The word diamond comes from the Latin word “adamare”, which means "to love passionately." Highly rare and captivating, each and every diamond is precious, making them the ultimate being that transcends time, just like true love. Harder than any other substance, and with an unparalleled, beautiful brilliance that never tarnishes, diamonds have become a symbol of eternity. They are widely cherished as a romantic gem, representing unyielding, unyielding love. Symbolizing eternity, purity, and innocence, ruby adds a sparkle of joy to your finger. Bvlgari, known as the master of colored stones, has been presenting a wide variety of ruby-embellished jewelry since the 1930s, establishing a unique style with vibrant colors, making ruby a colored stone deeply connected to Bvlgari creations. Ruby, said to derive from the Latin "ruber," meaning red, is known for its captivating fiery red color. Since ancient times, it has been known to protect its wearer from danger and disaster and bring wealth. It was also said that wearing a ruby would ensure a peaceful life filled with pure love, making it a beloved stone among kings and other powerful figures as a talisman and a source of happiness. Representing pure love, wealth, and health, ruby radiates the abundant light of love on the finger.

Sapphire is said to derive from the Greek word "sappheiros," meaning blue, evoking the beautiful blue of the Aegean Sea that stretches across Greece, the birthplace of Bulgari founder Sotirio Bulgari. Long said to protect royalty and monarchs from harm, sapphire is a noble gem that has been used in crowns, tiaras, and other jewelry since ancient times. At the same time, "something blue" is one of the "something four" bridal superstitions that have long been passed down in Europe as a stone representing sincerity, and the custom of wearing a blue gem in a ring is said to have its roots in this legend. A symbol of sincerity, faithfulness, and nobility, sapphire gently embraces sublime love like the deep sea.

Emerald comes from the Greek word "smaragdus," meaning green, and represents love, loyalty, and happiness. Since ancient times, emeralds have been associated with Venus, the Greek goddess of love and beauty, and are said to protect lovers from infidelity. There is a well-known story about the legendary actress Elizabeth Taylor, who frequently visited the Bvlgari flagship store on Via Condotti in Rome, and was given a luxurious emerald engagement ring by her partner, Richard Burton. Emeralds, which truly symbolize happy love, have long been cherished as talismans.

This new ring comes with an engraving service that allows you to add initials or a message of love.

Rome is a city that combines love and vitality, passion and natural generosity, genuine romance and pure joy. Inspired by Rome, the city of my birth, this collection celebrates the joy of sharing a life with your soul mate with the four major gemstones revered since ancient times.
