SAYORI WADA to hold solo exhibition depicting famous people who died at the age of 27, including Jimi Hendrix and Cobain

Aug 18, 2014

Daikanyama AL will host illustrator SAYORI WADA's solo exhibition, "SAYORI WADA EXHIBITION '27'," from September 7th to 15th.
SAYORI WADA won the Product Award at the Manhattan Portage Art Word 2014 and was chosen to design the brand's bags for the Spring/Summer 2015 season. She has also created numerous wall and interior illustrations, and is popular for her free-spirited, positive style.
The exhibition commemorates WADA's 27th birthday and features works depicting famous artists who passed away at the age of 27. Her powerful illustrations include legends such as Jimi Hendrix, Kurt Cobain, Brian Jones, and Amy Winehouse.
SAYORI WADA's first photo book, "27," will be available for pre-sale at the venue. A pre-exhibition event will be held at Shibuya Parco from September 3rd to 5th prior to the exhibition. On the 4th, her first live painting in collaboration with video will be unveiled.
