Actress Kyra Sedgwick was born on August 19, 1965, in New York, USA.
At the age of 16, she appeared in the hit NBC soap opera "Another World." She majored in theater at the University of Southern California and appeared in TV shows such as "Miami Vice." In 1985, she made her film debut in "Warsaw." In 1988, she appeared in the TV movie "Lemon Sky" starring Kevin Bacon. Thanks to this connection, Kevin and Kyra married the following year.
Although she continued to appear in TV dramas and on Broadway, her big break came in 1989 with the release of "Born on the Fourth of July." Director Oliver Stone cast Kyra in the role of Tom Cruise's girlfriend, Donna. The series won two Academy Awards, and Keira quickly became a star in Hollywood.

In 2005, her starring role in the TV drama "The Closer" began airing. Thanks to the popularity of her role as Brenda, the show ran for a total of seven seasons until 2012. Her performance was also recognized, earning her a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role in 2007 and a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Actress in a Leading Role in 2010.

Kevin and Keira are also known as one of Hollywood's most popular couples, co-starring as lovers in the 1991 romantic comedy "Pirates." The two subsequently co-starred in the independent film "The Woodsman," released in 2004, and Kevin's directorial debut, "Bye, Bye, Mama." In "The Closer," she also co-starred with his daughter, Sosie Bacon.
