Calvin Klein fragrances has cast actor Charlie Hunnam and model Doutzen Kroes in the global advertising campaign for its new fragrance, Calvin Klein Reveal, which will be released in July. Charlie is a British actor who plays the lead character Jax in the highly-rated American TV series Sons of Anarchy and has appeared in films such as Pacific Rim and Deadfall. Doutzen is a Dutch supermodel who has appeared on the cover of Vogue in the US and other countries, and is also active in HIV prevention and environmental issues. The ad, which shows the couple embracing passionately through the window of a high-rise apartment building, was shot by photography duo Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott (aka Mert & Marcus) in collaboration with Doug Lloyd of Lloyd & Company. The TV commercial was directed by Jonas Åkerlund, with Lloyd serving as consulting creative director. Grammy Award-winning artist Gary Clark Jr.'s "Bright Lights" plays in the background, as Doutzen poses in sexy black lingerie, locking eyes with Charlie in the adjacent building. Digital media content designed to build the fragrance's brand will also be released from August to October. The characters and the fate of the couple's romance will be revealed through the hashtag #REVEALMORE. "Calvin Klein Reveal" was created by perfumers Jean-Marc Chaillan and Bruno Jovanovic of the fragrance manufacturer IFF in collaboration with fragrance consultant Ann Gottlieb. It features warm, solar oriental notes, creating a sensual scent reminiscent of raw salt.
