On October 5th, Max Factor will launch a new eye cream, "SK-II Stem Power Eye Cream" (15g/¥10,400), from SK-II's "Stem Power Series," which has won 65 cosmetic awards (from November 2012 to February 2014).
In developing this product, the company reexamined the structure of the eye and the process of changes that occur with age. They discovered that the areas under the eyes, eyelids, and outer corners of the eyes are prone to different problems and show changes at different ages. They also discovered that the condition of these three zones significantly influences the "appearance" of a person.
According to the company's research, the average age at which eye problems begin to become noticeable is in the 20s for under-eye problems, the 30s for eyelids, and the 40s for outer corners of the eyes. Furthermore, their own research revealed that the area under the eyes is most closely related to a "youthful appearance." The eye area is prone to a variety of issues, including dullness, dryness, and sagging, but firming the skin can address all of these issues at once. However, while focusing on eye firmness, each zone requires tailored anti-aging treatments. First, the "under-eye" area, which is prone to congestion, is addressed with the "Albus Complex" (*1), known for enhancing blood microcirculation and lymphatic function, for brighter, fuller, firmer skin. The "Peptide Complex" (*2), which provides firm, elastic firmness to the "outer corners of the eyes," where wrinkles are more likely to be noticeable, is addressed. Meanwhile, the "Stem Power Trio Active" (*3), a complex ingredient, delivers firm, taut firmness to the "eyelids," where sagging and hollowing are a concern. Furthermore, continued use will bring about vibrant, bouncy, firm skin, not just around the eyes. It was also developed with a gentle texture and a naturally derived fragrance.
Other products from the series include the beauty emulsion "SK-II Stem Power" (80g/15,000 yen, 50g/10,000 yen), the comprehensive beauty serum "SK-II Stem Power Essence" (50ml/16,500 yen, 30ml/11,400 yen), and the beauty cream "SK-II Stem Power Rich Cream" (50g/16,200 yen).
