Isetan Shinjuku's "Isetan Bride" on the 7th floor of the main building is currently holding a bridal fair. On August 24th, a talk show was held featuring Yasuda Misako, who recently got married in March of this year. The event was exclusively for women, with approximately 20 women attending who had made advance reservations. Yumi Umezawa, a former editor of the magazine "25ans Wedding" and current owner of the bridal lifestyle concierge salon "Salon de Hana Yume," appeared as a special MC, and the conversation unfolded in a relaxed, girls' night-out atmosphere. Yasuda appeared in a wedding dress from ANTONIO RIVA, a luxury Italian dress brand designed by a former architect. The strapless dress featured a gentle wave in the skirt and a corsage adorning the back. "I'm not a fan of girly things, so I was drawn to the elegant and cool atmosphere. I think the three-dimensional form is impressive," she said, explaining her reasons for choosing the dress.
Yasuda, who is currently preparing for her wedding next spring, ordered her dress from Isetan Bride. "They have a wide selection of dresses and accessories from international brands, and they also offer custom orders, so I chose Isetan Bride without hesitation. I tried on about 10 dresses over two visits, but I decided quickly," she said. "The delicate lace gave it an antique feel, and the design was simple yet striking. I was particular about the fabric and material, so I was able to find a dress that I was happy with."
She revealed that she received various advice from Isetan Bride's store manager, Ogawa, during the fitting, and asked him to be her attendant on the day of the wedding. "This is my first wedding, so there's a lot I don't know, but they really taught me everything, even the smallest details. I run regularly, and since getting married, I've been paying attention to my diet and cooking, so I'm taking care of my health. I was also advised that if I want to be particular about my figure so I can wear a dress, I should start wearing sleepwear now, and I've already put that into practice."
When asked about her wedding style, she said, "I've chosen a prestigious venue, and since it's spring, I want to use cherry blossoms in the design. I'm from Kyoto, so I plan to wear a kimono for my second wedding dress." On the day, she sported a casual hairstyle with loose waves down and a sparkling headband. When asked about her hairstyle on the day, she shared her own unique opinion: "I'm currently growing out my bangs so I can do various styles. I'm considering both a formal and a casual style, but for example, I think it would be interesting to show up at the after-party with a short haircut."
When asked for advice that women preparing to become brides should pay particular attention to, she said, "After all, it's a once-in-a-lifetime event, so I want you to be particular about choosing the venue and the dress. I would especially recommend having the dress made to order, so that it feels like it's something 'just for you'."
