To celebrate the 35th anniversary of the brand's signature shoe, "Vara," Salvatore Ferragamo is launching the "Vara/Varina Made to Order" program for both the Vara and popular "Varina" shoes. To coincide with the launch of this program, a pop-up store will open in Omotesando, Tokyo, from September 5th to 15th. Sales will also begin at three directly managed stores on September 5th, with subsequent expansion to stores nationwide. Vara is a mid-heel pump featuring a grosgrain ribbon and a sparkling gold metal embossed with the brand logo. Since its launch in 1978, it has been a favorite of style-setters worldwide. Meanwhile, the Varina, launched in 2007, is based on a ballerina shoe design and, like the Vara, is known as a signature Ferragamo shoe.
