Ferragamo's Savanna appears at Shinjuku Isetan.

Apr 23, 2014

Salvatore Ferragamo held a limited-time event called "Savannah" at The Stage on the first floor of the Isetan Shinjuku store from April 23rd until the 29th. The event, featuring Ferragamo's limited-edition collection, was themed around the nature, flora, and fauna of the "Savannah." The limited-edition collection, available exclusively at Isetan Mitsukoshi, was inspired by the zebra and floral patterns that were the main motifs of the brand's first silk collection in the 1970s. Items included moccasins (100,000 yen), leather tote bags (190,000 yen, nylon) and wallets (75,000 yen), as well as scarves (39,000 yen), accessories, and apparel, offering a complete fashion experience.

The venue decoration was handled by flower artist Azuma Makoto, who expressed a new interpretation of the "savanna" landscape. Countless leafwork pieces made from various types of leaves are arranged on the walls surrounding the space. A chandelier of plants inspired by the savanna hangs from the ceiling.
