A limited-time "DRESSCAMP" event is being held at the Center Park TOKYO Kaihoku (Liberation Zone) on the second floor of the Isetan Shinjuku Main Building from August 27th. The theme of the event is "Gorgeous." The 2014-15 Autumn/Winter collection, marking the fourth season since the return of founding designer Toshikazu Iwatani, features a plethora of items that appeal to women, including glittering and gorgeous textiles, the delicate textures of lace and chiffon, and details with ruffles and fur. Some items are exclusive to Isetan Mitsukoshi. According to Isetan, "The appeal of this collection lies in the fact that while the designs allow you to enjoy the glamour unique to DressCamp, they are not just for the enjoyment of seeing models wearing them on the show, but can also be incorporated into everyday fashion as real clothes." In addition, the brand has created a variety of items, such as the "Lamé Jacquard Skirt (48,000 yen)" and "Damask Flocked Fleece Skirt (35,000 yen)," which can be easily incorporated into everyday styles by adjusting the length and material to match with simple items. Other items include the "Fur Strap Bag (78,000 yen)," perfect for winter dates and parties. Another must-see is the collaboration with the nationally popular manga "The Rose of Versailles." The new volume of the manga, released in 2014 for the first time in 40 years, features original character designs. The lineup includes items sure to delight longtime fans, such as a cut-and-sew top featuring Oscar and Andre prints (both 17,000 yen, and the comic's logo 16,000 yen), a stole (17,000 yen), and a folding fan (5,000 yen). The rose illustrations in the background of the characters were created by designer Iwatani. The worldview of the work is also strongly reflected in the interior of the store, and customers can enjoy a fusion with the brand's theme for this season, "The Threepenny Opera."

The first 30 people to purchase products during the event will be invited to a talk event featuring Iwatani Toshikazu and Mizu Natsuki, to be held at the same venue on September 5th. Mizu, a former top star of the Takarazuka Revue's Snow Troupe, has performed on stage as both Oscar and Andre during his active career, so he has a special attachment to the work. It will be exciting to see what kind of conversation he will have with Iwatani about this immensely popular work, which is celebrating the Takarazuka Revue's 100th anniversary this year.
