FENDI, the luxury brand based in Rome, Italy, has released its Spring/Summer 2022 women's advertising campaign, which conveys the collection's signature joyful, fearless and powerful celebration of femininity through vibrant colors and a cheerful atmosphere.

Under the creative direction of Ronnie Cooke Newhouse and Karl Bolander, the photography and videography by Craig McDean reflect the same aesthetic as the collection designed by Artistic Director of Couture and Womenswear Kim Jones, Artistic Director of Accessories and Menswear Silvia Venturini Fendi, and Artistic Director of Jewelry Delfina Delettrez Fendi. The campaign was shot in a light-hearted and relaxed studio setting, featuring Vittoria Ceretti, Yilan Hua, Barbara Valente, Rianne Van Rompaey and Anok Yai, appearing together or alone against a beautiful backdrop of white and blue gradients and red cloud-like graphics.

The inspiration for the collection came from the hand-drawn logo of Antonio Lopez, a fashion illustrator known for his fantastical style. The logo embodies Lopez's liberated sensibility and the atmosphere of the legendary nightclub Studio 54, and was discovered in the Fendi archives. Using this as a starting point, a collection was born that captures the glamour of the disco era from a modern perspective, shining a spotlight on diverse and powerful women. The signature looks featured in the campaign share the vision of The Estate and Archive of Antonio Lopez and Juan Ramos. Elegant abstract designs and figurative drawings, born from Lopez's gestural brushstrokes, are transferred to shirting and leather inlays, while the hand-painted FENDI logo appears in candy-colored diagonal stripes. The iconic Fendi bag serves as a canvas for his work and the renowned savoir-faire of the Maison's ateliers, resulting in quintessential graphic art pieces.

The Fendi Spring/Summer 2022 women's advertising campaign, celebrating the confident woman, will debut globally in February 2022.
