Bvlgari unveils new Serpenti collection watches at LVMH Watch Week 2022

Feb 3, 2022

Bvlgari's unique aesthetic is beautifully embodied in the Serpenti Seduttori collection. "Born to be gold" -- Seduttori timepieces reborn in gold to illuminate the precious moments in a woman's everyday life. With the addition of three new models, this confident collection sets new standards in contemporary glamour. The new Tubogas style will grace LVMH Watch Week for its excellence and the exceptional values that underpin each of its creations.

Serpenti Seduttori

The Seduttori line, featuring the snakehead motif, was launched in 2019. While the Serpenti was known for its Tubogas bracelet, Bvlgari has expanded the snake's impact with the addition of a new bracelet. Its structure is based on the hexagonal motif that has been used since the original Serpenti model. The bracelet's unique feature is its fluid fit to the wrist, creating an almost second skin effect.

Its balanced dynamics create a seamless connection with the snakehead-shaped case. Available in stainless steel, steel and rose gold, or rose gold, each model expresses the exquisite symmetry and impeccable elegance of this refined creation.

Three of Bvlgari's most iconic models are presented in stainless steel, steel and rose gold, or rose gold cases, featuring new, dramatic black lacquer dials. The bezel, adorned with stainless steel or rose gold indexes, is rimmed with two circles of diamonds, evoking its jewellery roots. Various elements of cabochon-cut rubellite enhance the model's brilliance and dazzle. These precious elements are undoubtedly the signature of the Roman brand, proudly expressing its essence as a modern, everyday watch.

Tubogas: The Return of Yellow Gold

It is widely known that the Serpenti, a symbol of reincarnation, became an undisputed signature of the Rome-based brand Bvlgari the moment its head was given a more slender shape by the renowned Tubogas bracelet. This regal and iconic presence is unique to Bvlgari, a brand steeped in industrial design.

The single-spiral Serpenti Tubogas wristwatch is available in a combination of yellow gold and stainless steel, featuring diamonds set on either side of the snakehead and a guilloched white opaline dial. Adorning a woman's wrist, this style is unmistakably uniquely Bvlgari.

Named for their resemblance to woven metal gas tubes, Tubogas have been technically employed in jewelry making since the late 1940s. This stunning industrial style technique gained popularity during the Art Deco period, when the challenge of miniaturizing large, man-made objects for new uses arose.

In the 1940s, Bvlgari incorporated watch dials into Tubogas bracelets, creating sophisticated snake-inspired watches. This design was revived in the 1970s in watches, bracelets, necklaces, and rings. Combined with richly colored gemstones and coins (monete), its captivating contrasts established it as a style of Bvlgari jewelry for everyday wear.

Tubogas are complex to craft, consisting of a long band of gold or steel wrapped around a steel core. When wrapped, the curved band fits snugly, completely concealing the inner workings. The goldsmiths do not use soldering: the flexibility of the coiled band alone gives the Tubogas its characteristic elasticity. Woven with a jeweller's sensibility, this watch is a source of Italian pride, endlessly glamorous and endlessly stylish.
