Hidetaka Fukuzono unveiled the debut collection for his new brand, WEWILL, which will launch in Fall/Winter 2017-18, on February 6th at IDOL in Minami-Aoyama. After graduating from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp in 2002, he launched WHEREABOUT and has since designed for apparel brands such as TAKEO KIKUCHI and the women's brand NAILS. The show kicked off with a model wearing a navy leather jacket with a symmetrical rider's jacket design, high-waisted, loose-fitting peg-top pants, and holding an alarm clock. The model wore a beret, white socks, and patent leather plain-toe shoes. The entire collection was presented in muted tones of black, navy, gray, and beige. The collection continued with minimalist, real-life clothing items, including hoodies, denim jackets, turtlenecks, and chester coats. The effortless style of the natural shoulders and big silhouette is brought together with strength, serenity and a beautiful finish. KROY WEN, printed on the T-shirt, is a mirror word of New York. When seen in an underground space in Tokyo, it looks like an Asian word.
