"LOEWE Exhibition," a pop-up store where you can fully experience the world of LOEWE, will open at the Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi Main Store on February 15th.
The concept of the store is "Flower." The highlight of this store is the world's first recreation of the flower shop adjacent to the flagship store "Casa LOEWE Madrid," which opened in Spain in the fall of 2016 under the direction of creative director Jonathan Anderson. Items from the rose print series from the new Spring/Summer 2017 collection will be available in this space.
The items available in advance at the Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi Main Store include the "Barcelona Rose Small Bag" (245,160 yen), which features a feminine rose print with a modern color contrast against black, as well as small leather goods with beautiful two-tone zippers and bodies. Other new items in the lineup include the multicolored "Puzzle Bag Small" (286,200 yen) in pastel tones and the "Flamenco Knot Bag" (320,760 yen) made of pleated leather.
The space will also feature an exhibition of "Flowers," the Loewe 2017 Spring/Summer advertising campaign visuals inspired by British florist Constance Spry, shot by photographer Steven Meisel. A calendar featuring the same visuals will also be on sale. Skilled craftsmen from the company's headquarters in Spain will also be visiting Japan to demonstrate the making of the popular "Elephant Mini Bag" from the animal collection and Loewe's iconic "Hammock Bag."
