
BETJEMAN & BARTON, a Paris-based tea specialty store, has released new items for the holiday season.
The Christmas limited edition tea, "Christmas Mademoiselle" (70g/1,995 yen), has a cinnamon and fruit flavor that is perfect for New Year's. The winter limited edition tea, "Balade Irlandaise - The Arrival of Winter" (70g/1,890 yen), scheduled to be released this month, has a whiskey aroma that evokes Ireland. "The Galettes" (7 pieces each, 3 types per set, 2,205 yen) comes in three varieties: "Plain Galettes" made with butter and Brittany-Guérande salt; "Lemon Ginger" made with lemon peel and paste and ginger powder; and "All Spice" with a fragrant finish made with the addition of three spices: nutmeg, cloves, and cinnamon.
Betjeman & Barton was founded in Paris in 1919 as a tea specialty store by Arthur Betjeman, who studied tea in Dublin, Ireland, and England. Currently, Betjeman & Barton has won a Gold Award in the tea category from Le Guide des Gourmans, one of France's most prestigious gourmet magazines, and its teas are used in five-star hotels and first-class restaurants in Paris.
