
NEW YORKER, which will celebrate its 50th anniversary next month, will debut a new traditional casual style brand, NEW YORKER BLUE, in its 2014 Spring/Summer collection. Prior to the launch, the brand will open at AEON Mall Kagoshima on November 23rd, followed by an opening at AEON Mall Makuhari New City on December 20th. For women's SS14, from early February to early March they will be selling light coat styles accented with dappled colors, from mid-March to early April they will be selling marine styles based on blue variations and incorporating borders and stripes, and from mid-April to mid-May they will be selling items that mix town and resort styles using print motifs. Prices range from 26,000 to 29,000 yen for coats, 12,000 to 16,000 yen for skirts, and 14,000 to 16,000 yen for dresses. Bags, belts, stoles and accessories will also be available.
New Yorker Blue, with the concept of "wear what you like, following your mood," offers a playful casual style based on the traditional mindset cultivated by New Yorkers. Aimed at youthful-minded adult men and women, the collection will offer items that they will want to wear and own.
