On January 30th, soup specialty store Soup Stock Tokyo will hold a workshop titled "Delicious Classroom: Rakugo and Food Time" at Smiles' headquarters in Nakameguro, Tokyo, to explore the question "What is delicious?", starting with "food." This workshop will focus on rakugo, a traditional Japanese performing art with many performances that feature "food" as a key theme, such as "Toki Soba" and "Manju Kowai." Through rakugo, participants will experience the lives of ordinary people in the Edo period and consider the question, "What is delicious?", which has remained unchanged since ancient times. The event will feature guest rakugo performer Yanagiya Karoku, who will perform two stories. In addition, Yanagiya and Smiles' representative, Toyama Masamichi, will hold a talk session. The event will conclude with a reception featuring light snacks and drinks related to "Rakugo and Food Time." The event is limited to 45 people.
