Kyoto chocolate specialty store "Bel Amer Kyoto Bettei" opens at JR Kyoto Isetan! It's the first permanent store in a department store.

Bel Amer Kyoto Bettei's first permanent department store will open on December 15th on the Western confectionery floor on the first basement floor of JR Kyoto Isetan.

Bel Amer Kyoto Bettei was founded with a focus on Kyoto, a city brimming with tradition and international flair. From Kyoto, they offer a variety of chocolates carefully crafted in a specialized chocolate atelier, where ingredients are carefully selected to suit the Japanese climate and season, and humidity and temperature are strictly controlled.


Bel Amer Kyoto Bettei continues to create chocolates that embody the charm of Japan in Kyoto, a city steeped in Japanese tradition. The first permanent store in a department store will open on the basement floor of JR Kyoto Isetan on December 15th. Please enjoy our many delicious and delicious chocolates, made with a focus on chocolate and domestic ingredients.

Chocolat from Bel Amer Kyoto Bettei


Japanese ingredients are made into a jelly and poured into a chocolate shaped like a masu. This is a specialty of Bel Amer Kyoto Bettei, where Japan's proud ingredients, such as sake made with Kyoto's sake rice "Iwai," tea collected from all over Japan, domestic fruits and domestic honey, are made into a smooth jelly and poured into chocolate.

"Irodori Chocolat" has a gentle flavor, made with Japanese black tea from Okayama Prefecture and homemade caramel. We use ingredients familiar to many people, such as black tea and caramel, with the aim of making them enjoyable for people of all ages. Please also take note of the beautiful finish and design, each piece carefully crafted by an artisan!

"Dessert Chocolate" is a new fresh confection that went on sale in early December. Gateau chocolat or sable is sandwiched between thin chocolate bars and decorated gorgeously with ganache and fruit. You can choose your favorite dessert chocolate in the 3- or 6-stick packs.
