ISSEY MIYAKE MEN will release the "TOKYO PARROTS" series, a 2016 Spring/Summer collection in collaboration with young photographer Yoshinori Mizutani. A special exhibition featuring Mizutani's newly-taken works is also being held for a limited time at ELTTOB TEP ISSEY MIYAKE/GINZA. The collection features photographs from Mizutani's "TOKYO PARROTS" series, which features wild parakeets living in Tokyo. The collection includes tweeds and knitwear woven with slit yarn made from nonwoven fabric printed with the photographs, digitally printed cotton shirts and jerseys, and a full jacquard series. Prices include coats for 130,000 yen, jackets for 160,000 yen, tops for 35,000 yen, shirts for 56,000 yen, pants for 90,000 yen, shoes for 48,000 yen, scarves for 3,000 yen, and sunglasses for 44,000 to 52,000 yen. (Sales will begin at some stores on January 9th.) Additionally, at ELTB TEP ISSEY MIYAKE GINZA, an installation using 80 backstage photos taken by Mizutani from the 2016 Spring/Summer collection will be on display until February 4th. Mizutani's art photo books "TOKYO PARROTS" and "COLORS" will also be on sale during the exhibition period.
