At the Sochi Winter Olympics (22nd Olympic Winter Games) to be held in February, the Japanese national team will use official sportswear and related products developed by Descente, Mizuno, and ASICS Japan. This agreement is based on an official partnership agreement with the Japanese Olympic Committee (JOC).

Descente will provide eight items, including training jackets and pants, warm coats, overalls, caps, and gloves. The training jacket worn at award ceremonies and press conferences is called the "Transform Jacket" and can be transformed into three different styles to adapt to changing weather conditions.

By unzipping the front hem, around the neck, and down the other hem, it transforms into two jackets: a long-sleeved light down jacket and a hooded, highly waterproof rain jacket. The warm coat worn at the opening and closing ceremonies is made of durable, water-repellent, water-resistant, highly breathable, and stretchy material. Another key feature of this program is the development of a women's pattern for the first time.

Mizuno will provide zip-neck shirts, backpacks, and carry-on bags. The zip-neck shirt uses the company's Breath Thermo material. The carry-on bag is carry-on size and has a large front pocket as well as space inside for a laptop or tablet.

ASICS Japan will provide the T-shirts and shoes to be worn in the athletes' village and when traveling. Two T-shirt types are available: one with the theme of "Brilliance" depicting snowflakes gathering to form a five-pointed star, and another with the theme of "Support" that provides increased mobility.

Replica models featuring the JOC's second emblem will also be sold for training jackets, pants, gloves, bags, T-shirts, etc.
