Shoe brand UNITED NUDE will release "NOVA," its first collaboration with Zaha Hadid, the architect behind the design of the New National Stadium, the main venue for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, in Japan in mid-November.
Designed using 3D CAD, the shoes follow Zaha's signature futuristic style. The exterior of the upper is made of vinyl material poured into a mold and then chrome-plated, while the interior is made of Italian nappa leather. The heel is made of fiberglass wrapped in rubber. The heel height is 16cm.
Price: 210,000 yen. In Japan, the shoes will be available in silver only at Lumine Shinjuku 2, Isetan Shinjuku, and Hankyu Umeda Main Store (scheduled for release in February), and in silver and black at Seibu Shibuya, Seibu Ikebukuro, and Sogo Yokohama. Overseas, the shoes will be sold at Paris select shop L'ECLAIREUR and London department store Selfridges, among others.
