Kiryuyrik, a men's brand created by designer Shigekatsu Takayanagi, opened a pop-up shop on the second floor of the Isetan Shinjuku Men's Building on January 8th. It will run until the 14th. This is the second time, following last season.
The brand does not set a theme for each season, but instead focuses on monochrome items based on black, white, and gray. For the SS14 season, the collection incorporates a variety of patterns, such as polka dots, pin dots, and leopard print, into monochrome, including a casual gray jacket with a large polka dot pattern (65,100 yen) and a pin dot jacket made of stretchy jersey material (65,100 yen).
Exclusively available at Isetan Shinjuku are a clerical shirt with gray leopard print on the cuffs and collar (27,300 yen) and an all-over leopard print shirt (34,650 yen). Additionally, the original square tie with tie clip (17,850 yen) is available for pre-sale.
Although the collection is characterized by a slim silhouette, the clothes are made with functionality in mind, with stretch material used on the sides of the shirts and action pleats on the shoulders.
