Incontro will open Japan's first standalone Vivienne Westwood Anglomania (hereinafter Anglomania) store on the first floor of Laforet Harajuku on February 22, 2014.
Anglomania is Vivienne Westwood's diffusion line, which began in Spring/Summer 1998. From Spring/Summer 2014, the line was officially launched as a licensed line in collaboration with the UK company Vivienne Westwood. It features designs that feature Vivienne Westwood's signature patterns and prints as well as arrangements of archive pieces.
In addition to womenswear, the Spring/Summer 2014 collection will include Vivienne Westwood's first home wear, lifestyle goods such as beach towels, and products made from reused materials.
Using the paper jewelry designs released under Gold Label, the store will offer a diverse lineup of reused items linked to Vivienne's own environmental conservation efforts, including leather jewelry made from recycled materials discarded during the manufacturing process, tote bags made from recycled coffee bean bags with original prints, and "Sock Animals" (large: 31,500 yen, small: 19,950 yen), handmade stuffed animals sewn together from socks and tights.
The shop's interior was designed using recycled ship materials. Behind the cash register is a graphic of London's Piccadilly Circus turned upside down. Original eco-bottles will be available as a novelty item to commemorate the opening.
