To celebrate H&M's involvement in designing the Swedish Olympic team's apparel for the Sochi Winter Olympics in February, the brand will release the "Go Gold collection" capsule collection on January 16th. The collection will be available in Japan at its Shibuya and Shinsaibashi stores. The lineup includes 28 pieces of functional sportswear and casual wear for men and women. Each item was tried on by Swedish Olympic athletes before being created. Key items include hooded long-sleeved tops, padded jackets, shorts that can be layered with tights, lightweight down jackets, and quick-drying jogging jackets. The women's sleeveless jogging vest can be worn as a dress, and the reversible down jacket creates a rounded, feminine silhouette. The men's bomber jacket features a sporty design made with down, while the seamless underwear features black and white stripes for a sharp look.

Other accessories include leather sneakers with an embossed reptile print and mirror-shaded sports sunglasses.

H&M has signed a four-year contract with the Swedish Olympic Committee and Paralympic Committee to produce a range of clothing for the Swedish team to wear at the Sochi Winter Olympics and Paralympics, as well as for the opening and closing ceremonies, training and leisure wear, and in the Olympic Village at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.
