Introducing the Hemingway fragrance. A citrus fragrance that embodies the romance of men.

Jan 20, 2014

Histoire de Parfums will release "1899 Eau de Parfum" (60ml/11,970 yen, 120ml/19,950 yen) inspired by American author Ernest Hemingway on March 28th.

Brand founder Gerald Ghislain created this fragrance, embodying the "romance of a man," modeled on Hemingway's life, which saw him pursue an exciting daily life while writing around the world. Top notes of Italian bergamot, juniper, and pepper are continued by the Mediterranean scent of orange blossom and orris, culminating in a calming base of amber and vetiver reminiscent of a Cuban bar. The "1899" in the product name refers to Hemingway's year of birth. Histoire de Parfum offers fragrances inspired by famous characters and myths, based on the concept of an "olfactory library." For men, the collection includes the legendary playboy Casanova, the Marquis de Sade, a writer who spent most of his life in prison for his unusual sexual preferences, and Jules Verne, author of the adventure novels "Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea" and "The Mysterious Island."
