Acne Studios has unveiled the advertising campaign for its Spring/Summer 2017 collection, which will be released in mid-March.
For the advertising campaign, Italian photographer Paolo Roversi was hired. The visuals are presented as a "portrait series" of creative people such as artists and editors wearing the Spring/Summer 2017 collection. The models featured in the campaign include Kuwaiti musician Fatimal AI Qadiri, Iraqi-born artist Hayv Kahraman who lives in Sweden, Iranian performance artist Sadaf H. Nava, stylist Yasmina Benabdelkrim who works in Paris and New York, editor Negar Azimi who works in New York, and Iranian actress and musician Golshifteh Farahani who works in France.
Creative director Jonny Johansson said of the advertising campaign, "This season's collection expresses the idea of opening one's mind and looking out at the world. I was very interested to see how artists from various countries would be portrayed through Paolo's perspective and worldview. The shoot, which took place in his Paris studio, was like alchemy, and I was honored to be a part of it."
The advertising campaign will be rolled out successively in New York, Hong Kong, Paris, and Milan.
