Isetan Shinjuku Main Building 2F Center Park/TOKYO Kaihoku and PARCO are collaborating to open the "2037 Tokyo Collection - TOKYO Kaihoku x PARCO -" pop-up store, themed around "Tokyo of the Future." The store is selling collaboration T-shirts (7,630 yen each) featuring Inio Asano's popular manga "Dead Dead Demon's Dededede Destruction" and Keisuke Kanda's "Musashino Sewing" project. Musashino Sewing is a new project launched in January 2017 by Keisuke Kanda, designer of Keisuke Kanda. Asano and Kanda have previously collaborated on providing costumes for "Dedede" characters, with Keisuke Kanda's costumes worn in the series. Items from the Musashino Sewing label are known for their hand-embroidered designs, and all of the collaborative T-shirts announced this time are hand-stitched. "2037 Tokyo Collection - TOKYO Kaihoku × PARCO -" is a pop-up store themed around the future of Tokyo fashion and culture, directed by Sota Yamaguchi and realized through a collaboration between TOKYO Kaihoku and PARCO. The year 2037 is defined as an era in which the "real world" and the "virtual world" have equal value, and it depicts a world in which mutual communication between the real and virtual worlds plays a more important role, offering a new and exciting shopping experience. At the shop, visitors can experience "TOKYO," a different-dimensional urban space designed in virtual reality (VR) space for this project, through a smartphone app. The venue features mechanisms that change in conjunction with pre-mapped spots and items. When visitors launch the app and approach collaboration items, the "mothership" from the film will appear in the VR space, creating an immersive experience.
