A new bar and dining scene has been born in Umekita: The Cosmopolitan, where you can enjoy views of Osaka until 4am

May 1, 2013

The Cosmopolitan, designed by Glamorous, led by Yasumichi Morita, and ECN Consulting, the company behind Tokyo's Aoyama TWO ROOMS GRILL/BAR and Roppongi's R2 SupperClub, has opened on the 9th floor of the South Building of Grand Front Osaka in Umekita, overlooking the Osaka skyline. Featuring a dining room, bar, terrace, and beer garden, it offers a classy atmosphere that's unlike anything Umekita has offered before, allowing you to enjoy it day or night. The restaurant seats 156 in total, including 34 counter seats, 60 table seats, one private room with 10 seats, and 52 terrace seats. Salt Consortium, which produces and operates numerous commercial facilities and stores, including Roppongi Hills' Mado Lounge, and ECN Consulting, a consulting company with experience in five-star restaurants and bars, have teamed up to provide not only the perfect space but also the highest quality menu and service. Brass tube lights hang from the ceiling of the bar just to the left of the entrance, creating a hotel-like atmosphere for adult social gatherings. The glass walk-in wine cellar contains carefully selected wines from across Europe and the New World.

The dining room, based on the theme of simplicity and elegance, offers a creative and sophisticated menu that focuses on the origins of its ingredients. In addition to lunch and dinner, you can also enjoy high tea in the afternoon and brunch on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. In warm seasons, there is also an outdoor beer garden. Open until 2 a.m. Monday through Thursday and until 4 a.m. on weekend nights (Friday and Saturday), it is likely to become a rare find in the early-night Umekita area.
