Isetan opens pop-up shop at Ebina SA, and also opens third outlet store at Amin Outlet in Ibaraki Prefecture

May 13, 2013
As a test trial of a department store MD-style small-scale store format, the Mitsukoshi Isetan Group will open a limited-time store, the "Isetan Ebina Service Area," at the Ebina service area on the Tomei Expressway's northbound eastbound line from May 29 to September 11. The store will have a floor space of 27 square meters.

With the aim of "expanding customer contact points" with demographics previously unfamiliar with department stores, the group is seeking to create new demand through new sales channels, such as in areas where daily activities are common and where department stores are not available. The new store at Ebina SA will include Isetan Mirror and Haneda Store. The new store will offer a selection of thoughtful souvenirs, gifts, and everyday items for the home.

Also, as part of its efforts to expand customer contact points, the group will open the "Isetan Outlet Store" at Ami Premium Outlets in Ibaraki Prefecture on May 17. The store will feature women's clothing and accessories, and will have a floor space of 330 square meters. This will be the third permanent outlet store, following Sano Premium Outlets and Shisui Premium Outlets.
