MM6 Maison Martin Margiela, which opened last month to much acclaim, has released interior photos of its first European store in Paris. This is the brand's second standalone store, following its New York store, which opened last September.
The address is 22 place du Marché Saint Honore, Paris 1er. It is located in the lush green grounds of Place du Marché Saint Honore in Paris's 1st arrondissement, close to Place Vendôme. The store has an area of 80 square meters. The walls, floors, and ceiling are white tiled, and the ceiling and floor leading from the entrance are decorated with chevron-patterned parquet. The tiled shelves appear to float above the walls. The fitting room floor is covered with a trompe l'oeil carpet with a tiled pattern.
MM6 was founded in 1997. While retaining the concept of its main line, it offers everyday wearable clothing, shoes, and accessories. The brand is also actively expanding in Japan, with pop-up shops opening this spring at Ron Herman in Sendagaya, Tokyo, followed by Maison Martin Margiela stores in Tokyo and Osaka. At Isetan Shinjuku, a pop-up shop called "L'ESPACE Maison Martin Margiela" has been running for a year since March this year, with a different theme each month, showcasing the brand's worldview through the release of limited items and installation exhibitions.
