Lanvin's Asian flagship store, originally opened in Ginza 7-chome in 2004, has relocated to Ginza 4-chome. The new flagship store, "NEW Lanvin Boutique Ginza," held its grand opening on May 18th in the historic Seishokan Building (4-5-1 Ginza, Chuo-ku, Tokyo). The three-floor store is the only one in Japan to carry all of Lanvin's lines. The first floor is the women's floor, showcasing the latest collections by Alber Elbaz, including clothing, accessories, bags, and shoes. The interior, featuring a handmade Venetian glass chandelier, evokes the atmosphere of a private Parisian mansion. The second floor offers clothing, as well as the wedding line "Collection Blanche" and the girls' line "Lanvin Petite." There's also a salon where customers can leisurely choose their dress. The basement floor is the men's floor. The store offers a full range of men's wardrobe essentials, from clothing, sneakers and bags by Lucas Ossendrijver to suits, shirts and ties.
According to the brand, currently popular items in Japan include ballet flats, silk dresses from the pre-collection and the classic "HAPPY" bag. A distinctive feature of the Japanese market is that some fans purchase collection looks as they are. The new "PARTITION" camera bag is also selling well.
