The pop-up store of select shop "JOURNAL STANDARD" is open until the end of August on Cat Street in Harajuku (6-7-1 Jingumae, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo).

The shop is currently operating on a trial basis ahead of its grand opening in September under a new concept. "By adopting a different product lineup and display method to existing JOURNAL STANDARD stores, we aimed to create a shop where customers can search for and find something they weren't expecting," said a spokesperson.

They also said, "We want to fully identify the latent needs of our customers, which we have vaguely felt as we have opened multiple stores, by the time we open in September. We think this will be an entirely new select shop that can be enjoyed by both young and older people."

The shop carries both women's and men's items, and compared to other JOURNAL STANDARD stores, it places an emphasis on a selection of imported items. In particular, the women's section carries more heels than other stores, proposing a girly style centered on a marine theme. The store is also known for its collection of limited edition items and trending brands. Items include a tote bag (7,875 yen) and sandals (7,350 yen) in collaboration with the artwork of Los Angeles-born poet and pro skater Marc Gonzales, a special order enamel bag from NACO PARIS featuring a peaceful message handwritten by the designer, LA brand MIXTA, which offers cut-and-sew items made from deadstock fabrics, and the popular Japanese brand WHITE LINE, known for its vintage-inspired designs. In addition to clothing, the store also carries cosmetics from FATTORIA DI BELCANTO and eyewear from RAEN.
