TeamLab's popular video "Sefuri ILC Exhibition" will be held at Harajuku Beams

May 23, 2013

From the 24th to the 29th, the "Sefuri ILC Exhibition," based on teamLab's video work "Sefuri ILC High School," will be held at TOKYO CULTUART by BEAMS in Harajuku. The exhibition will feature a video installation based on the work, and collaborative merchandise from BEAMS will be on sale. Also appearing in collaboration with the work are teamLab's "teamLab Hanger," which displays outfit ideas on a monitor when a hanger is picked up, and the "teamLab Camera," which automatically edits and uploads photos taken by visitors to a Facebook page. "Sefuri ILC High School" is a promotional video commissioned by teamLab to be produced by Saga and Fukuoka prefectures, which are working to build the ILC (International Linear Collider), a massive particle physics experimental research facility, in Japan. The video aims to raise global interest in the ILC and promote the name of Sefuri, a proposed site on the border between the two prefectures. In the work, students from Waseda Saga High School explain how the ILC works in a musical-style video.
