ANEW, an art magazine from Milan featuring various creative scenes, is being launched.
While its main theme is "contemporary art," the 250-page magazine covers a broader definition of "art," including not only conventional art but also design, literature, music, film, and fashion. It is printed in Italy by NAVA on the highest quality paper stock. The cover design is by an artist, making ANEW itself an embodiment of art.
The editorial team is made up of the same team who previously worked on art and architecture magazine TAR. The editor-in-chief is Francesco Bonami, former director of the Venice Biennale; the editorial director is Martina Mondadori, a member of the Mondadori family, one of Italy's leading publishing houses; the fashion director is Coco Brandolini, who has served as a consultant for Bottega Veneta and Dolce & Gabbana; the art director is Christoph Radl, a graphic designer who has worked on advertising for Ferragamo and Armani; and the publisher is Gianluca Reina, who worked on UOMO and the Italian edition of Maxim magazine.
Published twice a year, in spring and autumn, with a circulation of 90,000 copies per issue, it is sold at bookstores, newsstands, concept stores and museum shops around the world, including Dover Street Market and Tate Modern in London, the Centre Pompidou and Palais de Tokyo in Paris, and the Museum of Modern Art in New York. 18 euros. English version only.
